Navigating health and social care systems can become extremely difficult when somebody you love needs support from several different services.

Families are often expected to understand social services, funding, clinical terminology, legislation, care models and organisational processes while simultaneously trying to advocate for someone they know better than anyone else.

We offer independent advice and complex care navigation for families who need help understanding what is happening, what questions to ask and what realistic options may exist.

Support may include reviewing information and documentation, helping you prepare for meetings, discussing care or discharge options, identifying questions that have not yet been answered and helping you understand what might need to happen next.

We offer a free 15-minute introductory conversation to understand your situation and establish whether we are the right service to help. If statutory advocacy, specialist legal advice or another professional service would be more appropriate, we will say so.

Family consultation

A one-hour independent consultation giving you space to talk through what is happening, make sense of the key issues and identify practical questions or next steps.

Independent case review

A more detailed review where the situation is particularly complex or has become stuck. This can include reviewing relevant documentation, talking through the history and current position with you, and providing a concise written summary of the key issues, unanswered questions and possible next steps.

Meeting preparation and support

Support before an important MDT, commissioning, discharge or care planning meeting. We can review the relevant background with you, help you identify the issues that matter most and prepare the questions you want answered.

Where appropriate and agreed in advance, we may also be able to attend a meeting with you to provide independent professional support.

Keeping the right boundaries

Ashleigh Fox Advisory provides independent professional advice, case review and navigation. We do not replace statutory advocacy, specialist legal advice or the clinical and professional teams responsible for someone's care.

Where another form of support would be more appropriate, we will tell you and, where possible, help you understand what kind of support to look for.

We also reserve a small amount of reduced-fee or pro bono capacity for families experiencing significant financial difficulty.
